Got up this morning and had my regulation two Panadol tablets in the fond belief that I would be making several journeys to and from the wheelie bins getting on top of our recyclables. No such luck. It is now back to the seemingly inevitable rain, the hills have disappeared, and going outside would be hero’s work. But the Postie has delivered a vacuum cleaner for my OH, so that’s another job done. Don’t be a Postie on days like this.
THE EUROPEAN FLAG
THE EUROPEAN UNION
Where is it ?
A reminder from John Ruskin, . . .
“There is no wealth but life. Life, including all its powers of love, of joy, and of admiration. That country is the richest which nourishes the greatest numbers of noble and happy human beings; that man is richest, who, having perfected the functions of his own life to the utmost, has also the widest helpful influence, both personal, and by means of his possessions, over the lives of others.”
From “Unto this Last”, 1860.
